Chelsea’s Nemanja Matic was sent off today as his side fell to their fifth defeat of the season at the hands of West Ham at Upton Park.

The towering Serbian was shown a red for a second bookable offence when he took down Diafra Sakho right in front of the linesman.

The two yellow cards came inside a nine-minute spell with the midfielder’s erratic and reckless play making a difficult situation even worse for the Blues as they were already 1-0 down.
